Radar Signal Processing: Fundamentals, Applications, and Advanced Topics
The seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the basics of radar with an emphasis on the role of signal processing and application of these fundamentals to mature, advanced, and developmental radar modes. Topics include:
Basic radar theory and applications; General digital signal processing, linear algebra, and random processes;
Classical one-dimensional transformations for radar such as pulse compression, Doppler filtering, and beamforming; Multi-dimensional processing such as synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and space-time adaptive processing (STAP) for ground moving target indication (GMTI); Evolving techniques such as multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO), compressive sensing, and modern spectral estimation methods.
