Focus

In the seminar a detailed presentation of programmatic, institutional and technical aspects of the European satellite navigation system GALILEO is provided. In particular, the service concept, signal and frequency plan, overall architecture, integrity concept, the Galileo system time generation, design options and support activities are outlined. Additionally legal frame - work aspects are discussed, i.e. liability issues, intellectual property rights and export controls.Similarities and differences with respect to the American GPS system are emphasized.
